This comes in a plastic bag. They also decided to slap a sticker onto the bottom of the pot. Do you know how hard it is to remove a sticker? Of course it peeled off poorly and left behind a ton of paper and residue that forced me to slather oil onto the pot to slowly pick away the rest of the sticker that was still stuck on. Sticker adhesives also make my skin itch like crazy on contact.The reason I bought this pot is because it says 18/10 and it was 24 ounces. The fact that it is cheap is simply a bonus. I would pay more for something that comes in a box and actually tells me the brand name, where it was made, etc.The only 'proof' that it is 18/10 gauge is the branding on the bottom that has 18/10, a camel and 'made in China' written within a circle. It isn't exactly solid proof but considering how cheap the product is I will use it until I can find something better. There are also a few minor imperfections on the bottom of the pot that I noticed.Also, if you're not familiar with stainless steel that has a brushed finish, they're quickly prone to rusting if you use anything abrasive on them. If you have had a stainless steel pot rust on you before then keep this in mind when you purchase a new one. Try researching the detrimental effects of brushed finishes and how they're prone to corrosion.I would hand wash this with something soft if you do decide to purchase it. While the outside is mirror finish, the inside is brushed and that means you have to be careful not to scratch it. It is very difficult to find a pot, carafe or pitcher that doesn't have a brushed interior.I can say that it is drip free. I have made no messes while pouring so far.
