I bought this filter basket to use for hacking the portafilter on an inexpensive Breville espresso machine. Once you remove the stupid "crema enhancer" from the portafilter, and block the screw hole with a small screw, nut, and o-ring, this portafilter drops in with enough clearance to insert the portafilter into the brew group.Finally, you can use enough grounds to make a proper doppio, and if they're fresh, you've tuned the grind size, and you've tamped properly, you get rewarded with rich, coppery crema that the stupid "crema enhancer" could never produce.WARNING: loading this basket all the way to the top can result in excessive pressure in "steam toy" espresso machines such as the low-end Breville. Mine ended up springing leaks all over the place, and I stepped up to the Rancilio Silvia I should have bought in the first place.
